SHINee (coreano: 샤이니) es una boyband de cinco miembros formada por la SM Entertainment en el 2008. El grupo debutó el 25 de mayo del 2008 en “SBS Popular Songs” con el single ”누난 너무 예뻐(Replay)”. El grupo se compone por Onew (el líder), Jonghyun, Taemin, Minho y Key.
Pre-Debut
SHINee siguió siendo un secreto hasta el 18 de mayo del 2008, cuando la introducción del nuevo grupo surgió en diversos artículos en Internet. Sin embargo, los miembros de la banda, han hecho pequeñas apariciones sin alertar a los medios de comunicación sobre la banda. Jonghyun, prestó su voz a dúo con Zhang Li Yin, “Wrongly Given Love” (交错的爱) que salió en el primer álbum chino de Zhang Li Yin. Key hizo una aparición cameo en la primera película de Super Junior “Attack on the Pin-Up Boys”. Minho apareció en “SangBaek’s fashion show” en marzo de 2008. El 19 de mayo de 2008 apareció en la web oficial un anuncio sobre el debut del grupo con el single y el MV. SHINee debutó con el PV musical el 22 de mayo de 2008 y su primer mini álbum salió a la venta el 23 de mayo de 2008. SHINee se describe como una banda contemporánea y está integrada por cinco adolescentes cuyas edades oscilan entre quince y dieciochos años de edad.
El origen del nombre
El nombre SHINee es la combinación de “Shine” y “ee”. El “ee” se entiende como “recibir”, lo cual por lo tanto hace que el significado del nombre sea “los que reciben la luz”. La meta de SHINee es fascinar a los aficionados, independientemente de su edad u origen, con su música de diversos estilos, sus pasos de baile y su moda.
Apariencia
Aunque se presentan como un nuevo grupo idol, en comparación con otras boybands como TVXQ, Super Junior, HOT, ShinHwa, Sechs Kies y Big Bang, todavía no han alcanzado el mismo nivel. Ellos son una nueva y joven banda, tienen el potencial necesario para mejorar su imagen y se comparan con algunos de los más grandes nombres.
2008: Debut
SHINee hizo su debut en televisión apareciendo en “SBS Populars Songs” el 25 de mayo de 2008, realizando su primer performance con “누난 너무 예뻐(Replay)”. La primera aparición del grupo fue con la actuación del 22 de mayo en “M. NET’s M! Countdown”.
